Executive Summary
A critical 14km stretch of the Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg. This package involved complex hill cutting, high-embankment construction, and the execution of 3 major interchanges ensuring seamless connectivity across the Western Ghats.
The Challenge
The terrain presented extreme challenges with steep gradients and basalt rock formations. Executing deep cuts (up to 40m) while maintaining slope stability during the monsoon season required advanced geotechnical engineering.
The Solution
We deployed a fleet of 50+ heavy excavators and controlled blasting techniques. Soil nailing and shotcreting were used for immediate slope stabilization. A dedicated crushing plant was set up on-site to recycle excavated rock into aggregate for the pavement base.
